After a notable 11-year playing career with Collingwood, he began his journey in recruiting with the Brisbane Lions in 2004. In 2007, he returned to Victoria to contribute to Hawthorn’s recruiting efforts, playing a pivotal role in the team’s remarkable success, including four premiership titles in eight years. Most recently, as Executive General Manager of Football at Collingwood, Wright revitalized the club’s program, culminating in a premiership victory in 2023.
