Harry Kane is happy at Tottenham and has no problem staying under Postecoglou – Journalist
Journalist Kaveh Solhekol has told Sky Sports’ Football Daily that Harry Kane would be happy to remain at Tottenham and work with Ange Postecoglou if a move to Bayern Munich does not materialise.
Earlier today, we relayed a report from The Telegraph which claimed that Bayern Munich had set Friday midnight as the deadline for Tottenham to accept their latest offer for Kane.
The report explained that if Spurs did not respond one way or the other by tonight, Bayern would consider turning their attention to other targets instead.
The outlet added that Kane had no intention of signing a new contract at Tottenham and is expected to leave the club on a free transfer next summer if a move to the Bavarian club does not materialise.
Harry Kane is happy at Spurs if he ends up staying
However, Solhekol has now given a slightly different take on the situation, claiming that Kane is happy at the North London club and would have no issues working with Postecoglou.
In fact, the journalist adds that should Tottenham show signs of improvement under the Australian during the upcoming season, the 30-year-old would even be willing to sign a new contract at his boyhood club.
Kane is in a fantastic position as he knows that he can leave as a free agent in a year even if the Bayern move does not materialise right now.
However, unless Postecoglou performs a miracle and gets us challenging for major honours, I do not see how the striker would be tempted to sign a new deal at Tottenham.
Levy and co would be well aware that the choice is between selling him to Bayern right now and losing him on a free in 12 months.
