According to Emma Sanders, West Ham Women are looking for a last-minute deal to recruit a center defender….Women's Super League: What to expect in January transfer window - BBC Sport

Sanders, though, said that the club may have a “big January window” and revealed that the Irons are looking to sign a defender before the transfer market ends on September 14.

On deadline day, West Ham is reportedly looking for a CB, she said. “Obviously, manager Rehanne Skinner arrived late, making hiring difficult.

I predict a wide opening from them in January, but they will be attempting to bring someone in today.

There is no doubt that further help is required as West Ham tries to close at least one move on deadline day.

Under the new management, the Hammers will try to improve on their eighth-place position from the poor 2022–23 campaign.England and Manchester City goal machine Ellen White is joyful and triumphant

However, their defense is where they most need improvement. In their 22 league games last season, they gave up 44 goals, which is the fifth-highest number in the WSL.

Even if Skinner’s arrival was certainly later than anticipated, the team still had two months to sign players, thus that can’t be used as much of an excuse.

However, they were able to sign Japanese attacker Riko Euki as they seek to address their previous season’s goal-scoring issues.
