Steelers Sign Former LB Myles Jack

The Pittsburgh Steelers are bringing back Myles Jack

Pittsburgh — Myles Jack, a former inside linebacker, is rejoining the Pittsburgh Steelers after being signed to their practice squad.Three reasons Steelers' reunion with LB Myles Jack was necessary | Yardbarker

Jack, 28, played for the Steelers in 2022, starting 13 games and racking up 104 tackles. Before signing a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Eagles during training camp, he was released. However, Jack declared his retirement from the league after just two weeks with Philadelphia.

Jack and the Steelers had a mutual interest in getting back together after he was dismissed by the Eagles via the retirement list. That is now going to happen as he is going to join Pittsburgh’s practice squad to start his return to the field.

The Steelers added Mykal Walker to their 53-man roster in favor of Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander, but their depth chart still only includes three guys. Jack may be the next player the organization adds to the active roster once he’s well enough to start playing on game days.

Tariq Carpenter, an undrafted rookie who Pittsburgh has promoted from the practice squad for the past two games, is another option to consider.
