After getting beat by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals in seven games, the Boston Celtics decided to shake things up this summer by making some moves to address the offensive end of the

basketball floor.

The Celtics wasted no time in targeting the player they believe will help them improve offensively next season and for the foreseeable future, as they traded for veteran forward Kristaps Porzingis.

As part of this deal, which had to be reworked due to a health issue with Malcolm Brogdon, the Celtics sent arguably the team’s best defender in Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies, which ended his long stint

with the team.

Although some Celtics fans and players weren’t crazy about the deal, the Grizzlies have brought in another critical piece to the championship puzzle and have improved their defense.
