Among those absent from Wednesday’s session, receiver DeVante Parker (concussion), starting left tackle Trent Brown (leg), reserve offenisve lineman Calvin Anderson (illness.) Linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley, who left last Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury, was present but appeared to be a significantly limited participant.

Tight end Pharaoh Brown, who has become one of the Pats most productive and reliable targets on offense, was also absent. Brown has not been listed on any of New England’s recent injury lists, thus making the reason for his absence unknown at this time.

New England and Washington will release their first injury and practice participation reports on Wednesday evening at approximately 4 p.m.

After spending some time in the Patriots’ sideline medical tent, he was taken to the locker room.

Bourne has been the Patriots’ top receiver this season with 37 catches for 406 yards and four touchdowns. He caught three passes for 36 yards with a touchdown before departing Sunday’s game. In spite of his productivity, Bourne has been entrenched in trade rumors, given both his value and the fact that he is playing in the final year of the three-year contract which he signed with New England in 2021.

PATRIOTS DOWNGRADE LB JA’WHAUN BENTLEY TO OUT AGAINST MIAMI DOLPHINS – New England Patriots linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley has been ruled out for the remainder of the team’s Week 8 matchup against the Miami Dolphins with a hamstring injury.

Bentley has been one of the defensive cornerstones for New England this season, acting not only as a defensive team captain, but also the signal-caller and play communicator.

The veteran linebacker has earned 49 total tackles for the defense, and is fresh off a nine-tackle performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 7. Bentley had six tackles at the time of his exit on Sunday.

In his absence, linebacker Mack Wilson, Sr will see the majority of the snaps in the middle.

New England currently trails Miami 24-10 with 7:35 remaining in the third quarter.

OCT.27 PATRIOTS DOWNGRADE LB JOSH UCHE, OT VEDERIAN LOWE TO ‘OUT’ FOR WEEK 8 MATCHUP WITH MIAMI DOLPHINS – The New England Patriots will be without the services of two starting-caliber players when they take the field at Hard Rock Stadium against the Miami Dolphins for their Week 8 matchup on Sunday.

The Patriots have downgraded linebacker Josh Uche (ankle/toe) and offensive lineman Vederian Lowe (ankle), as neither traveled to Miami with the team on Saturday.

Uche emerged as one of New England’s top pass rushers in 2022, logging 11.5 sacks. However, he has yet to recapture his previous season’s success, compiling just five tackles and two sacks in six games. Uche was forced to sit out New England’s Week 7 win over the Buffalo Bills due to a foot injury.

Still, the Michigan product offers much in terms of athleticism and raw skill. In fact, Uche has been heavily rumored to be a prime trade candidate, as Tuesday’s Oct. 31 deadline approaches. It remains unclear whether Uche’s downgrade is related to a specific trade rumor. However, his status will be one to monitor over the next few days.

Lowe was acquired via trade with the Minnesota Vikings in August, in exchange for a 2024 sixth-round pick. He has appeared in six games for the Pats, taking the majority of his 318 snaps on offense at right tackle. Lowe had been a starter for New England, but was replaced by Michael Onwenu last week against Buffalo.
