On a third and five with just under three minutes to go in the game, LaFleur called a run up the middle with A.J. Dillon. The choice forced the Chargers to burn their final timeout, however, it prevented the Packers from putting the game away. The Packers didn’t convert on third-down and allowed Justin Herbert one more possession.
The defense came up big and forced a fourth-down stop that eventually sealed the win. However, that choice on third down went viral on social media:
