The Athletic have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur continue to have their eye on Fulham’s Tosin Adarabioyo, who is the subject of two rejected offers from AS Monaco.
It has been reported by various outlets over the last couple of months that Adarabioyo is on Tottenham’s radar (Football London), but it emerged last week that Spurs were looking
beyond the Fulham star and towards other centre-back options such as Torino’s Perr Shuurs (GiveMeSport).
Meanwhile, Foot Mercato. suggested last week that the former England Under-21s star was edging closer to a move to Monaco.
On Tuesday, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas revealed that the Ligue 1 club’s offer of €10m (£8.5m) for the centre-back was turned down by Fulham.
Spurs continue to circle Adarabioyo this summer
News of Monaco’s latest rejected offer has now also been backed up by The Athletic, who explain that this is the second bid that the French club have had sent back after initially
bidding €7m (£6m) plus add-ons for the player earlier in the summer.
The report asserts that Tottenham have not withdrawn from the race for Adarabioyo’s signature, with the Lilywhites alleged to be monitoring the centre-back’s situation closely.
Spurs Web Opinion
Moncao would not be launching offers and negotiating with Fulham unless they already have a verbal agreement in place with Adarabioyo’s entourage. So, the fact that Spurs are not
getting involved in the bidding suggests that they are prioritising other centre-back options instead.
