“I had a great time on the trip,” Offord remarked. “I adore the vibe at this place. I’ve received affection from the coach and all the coaches. They demonstrate to me my purpose in this place.

Offord has only previously visited FSU once, during their game against Clemson last season. This time, the experience and outcome were a little different. Offord talked about what impressed him about the game and the environment around it as the ‘Noles defeated the ‘Canes on Saturday night.

“I enjoy the intensity on the field.” I enjoy the vigor. They maintained their enthusiasm throughout the entire game. The whole time, the atmosphere was raucous, and they exuded confidence that they would prevail. I really admired the excitement of the crowd. It appears as though everyone is in agreement.

Expanding on his thoughts of the game, he had big praise for what he observed from the defensive backs.

“DBU. Most definitely DBU,” replied Offord when asked about the performance of the defensive back group. “I like how they press almost the whole game, and they’re aggressive.”

With a game-sealing interception by cornerback Jarrian Jones, Offord shared what it means to him from a coaching standpoint that Pat Surtain’s unit made the play.

“It was really big for them,” said Offord of the interception. “(Surtain) showed that he believes in them, and they all work hard for it. I’m trying to do the same thing that they’re doing.”

Offord described his relationship with Surtain and Norvell as a “good bond,” and said he “likes the way it is going” regarding his relationship with Surtain.

Before departing on Sunday, Offord explained the messaging of Norvell in their private meeting, which he later noted as a nice surprise to him in how the meeting went.

“It was good,” expressed Offord. “He kept it real with me, like a man-to-man talk. He told me that he expects manly things out of me. He isn’t going to come and just say what other head coaches are saying. He’s going to keep it real with me and push me hard.”

As a 2025 prospect, Offord is already garnering national attention with over three dozen reported offers, including programs like Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oregon, Clemson, USC, Penn State, Tennessee, Auburn, Miami, and Florida. Offord said he does not have any specified list of top choices at this juncture.

While he ranks as the No. 1 cornerback, Offord also slots as the No. 2 prospect in Alabama and the No. 6 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to 247Sports.com.
