Heat guard Tyler Herro wanted to remind fans that he’s the rare player who steps his game up when the lights are at their brightest.
That might not be a bad thing, though, especially now that Tyler Herro is healthy after missing the most of the 2023 NBA Playoffs due to a hand injury. Herro wants to remind fans that he is a rare player who raises his level of play when the pressure is on in an interview with Couper Moorhead of NBA.com.
However, that chance did not present itself last year. Tyler Herro suffered a broken hand during Game 1 of the Heat’s first-round matchup with the Bucks, missing the remainder of the postseason. Herro is aware that if he had been healthy, he might have caused a lot of damage and possibly increased the tension in the NBA Finals matchup with the Denver Nuggets.
I thought I had the opportunity the previous year, but I wound up hurting my hand. I was supposed to have a tremendous postseason run, so that was incredibly devastating for me, Herro continued.
Tyler Herro, who is still a member of the Heat despite being involved in trade discussions involving Damian Lillard, might have a big season. This is especially true considering how thin the Heat backcourt is now as a result of the exits of Max Strus and Gabe Vincent, as well as Kyle Lowry’s ongoing struggle with aging. And it appears that he will be prepared, especially once the games begin to actually count.
