The pressure and expectations that come with representing the club, according to Hearts head coach Steven Naismith, must be used to motivate the team at Hampden.

Saturday’s 1-0 loss to St. Mirren left Hearts with five losses in their previous six games, earning Naismith the anger of some of the team’s supporters.

The former Scotland international sees the Viaplay Cup quarterfinal against Kilmarnock on Tuesday as the ideal chance to make amends.

When playing for a team like Hearts, the 37-year-old remarked, “there’s that frustration and that’s something that builds.”

“I’m confident and at ease that by the conclusion of the week, which begins on Tuesday night, we will be able to look back on it as a good week.

“As a player fortunately I managed to do it and I know what it takes, so hopefully us as a squad can do it.
