BREAKING NEWS: Haaland sent his message of apologies to Arsenal as he

On Saturday, September 9, your morning headlines from Arsenal.

Arsenal’s message from Haaland

Erling Haaland has once more lauded Martin Odegaard’s efforts while subtly warning Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola about Arsenal.

The two teams competed for the Premier League championship last season, with Man City ultimately winning after the Gunners stuttered to the finish, shedding 15 points in their final nine games.

But, the new season is now in full swing and Haaland’s complimentary verdict on Odegaard could serve as a warning to Man City boss Pep Guardiola, especially with his mention of Mikel Arteta.

Pepe exit confirmed

Nicolas Pepe’s permanent exit from Arsenal has been confirmed by his new club Trabzonspor with the winger sending a message to supporters of the Turkish side.

Interest had also been prominent from Saudi Arabia, but Pepe was not convinced by the project and will instead sign for Trabzonspor.

With the 28-year-old out of contract next summer, the fee is not ground-breaking, however it has been reported that £3million is coming the way of Arsenal. Pepe’s contract is also off the wage bill for the next 12 months which sees Arsenal save £7.2million.

Thomas Partey blow

Mikel Arteta has already been dealt one Thomas Partey blow and another is likely to follow in the coming months.

The 30-year-old picked up a groin injury in training recently which looks set to keep him out for at least one month, with the international break lessening the damage slightly.

However, despite his absence from the Ghana team, his country’s achievement could result in more absences later in the season.
