Notre Dame Football: Marcus Freeman updates the media as bowl prep begins
On Saturday, Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman got in front of the media to discuss a number of things as the Irish prepare to take on the Oregon State Beavers in the Sun Bowl.
Marcus Freeman kicked off the presser by acknowledging the wide number of changes (transfer portal, coaching changes, and recruiting) within the program since the end of the regular season. Even with that, the Irish are “excited” to face the Beavers in El Paso on the 29th.
Notre Dame has had a handful of bowl opt outs besides the transfers, but it already appears as if there is a real plan to replace those that are gone. Charles Jagusah is the frontrunner at left tackle while Tosh Baker and Aamil Wagner are battling it out over on the right side.
We expect Jack Kiser to slide over to the WILL to take over for Marist Liufau. The trio of Jaylen Sneed, Drayk Bowen, and Jaiden Ausberry will see an increased role with Sneed expected to take most of the ROVER snaps.
