Kobbie Mainoo, who had been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury during the Tour 2023 match against Real Madrid in July, rejoined the team for training in the first few days of October.
Tyrell Malacia missed every preseason game due to an injury that, according to an update from Erik ten Hag in late August, would keep him out for a few more weeks.
Due to an exacerbation of the foot ailment he sustained in April 2023, Lisandro Martinez was absent for a prolonged spell starting in mid-September. It was established that he requires time off for surgery, healing, and rehabilitation after he suffered the setback against Arsenal in early September. He fought through the next two matches against Brighton & Hove Albion and Bayern Munich.
Due to a minor injury, Sergio Reguilon missed three straight games at the end of September and the beginning of October against Galatasaray and Crystal Palace.
