Aidan Sezer, a former halfback for the Canberra Raiders and Gold Coast Titans, has been signed by Wests Tigers for the 2024 NRL season.

After spending four seasons in the UK Super League, where he is presently playing for Leeds Rhinos, the 32-year-old will return to the NRL.

Sezer played 155 games in eight seasons in the NRL before relocating to England, including a Grand Final appearance with the Raiders in 2019.

Benji Marshall, the Wests Tigers assistant coach who will take over as head coach the following season, believes Sezer will offer a wealth of knowledge to the team.

We are thrilled to add a player of Aidan’s caliber to the team we are assembling for the future, added Marshall.

He’s a really terrific guy, and we’re excited to see what he can do for our team both on and off the field.

He will assist mentor our younger players, especially in our spine, and his expertise will compliment our youth.

Justin Pascoe, CEO of Wests Tigers, is happy to welcome Sezer to the team.

Pascoe praised Aidan’s decision to join us in returning to the NRL.
