Auburn has taken action against students after a sex tape that allegedly features Auburn football player Jarquez Hunter leaked Auburn has suspended several students over the leaking of an alleged sex tape that reportedly featured Auburn football player Jarquez Hunter. News of the video went viral on social media last week when a now-suspended Twitter account called “Jarquez Exposed” appeared and asked viewers for $5.00 to see the tape.

It is unknown who made the recording or how it was released.

“We are aware of the situation and take this matter very seriously,” Auburn said in a statement in response to the situation.

“The appropriate offices are conducting a thorough review. Indefinite suspensions have been issued for violation of applicable Auburn athletics department policy. No further comment will be provided at this time.”

Auburn did not say how many students were suspended in relation to this issue. The university itself announced the suspensions, not the school’s athletic department.

Last season, Hunter rushed for 668 yards and scored seven touchdowns while posting a 6.4 yard per attempt average, posting 224 receiving yards and two more touchdowns as a pass catcher, and was Auburn’s second-string tailback behind starter Tank Bigbsy.

Hunter has been expected to occupy the primary running back role for Auburn this season, the first for new head coach Hugh Freeze.
