BREAKING NEWS: After they compete in the AFLW elimination round. They have finally confirmed that…..

The Prespakis sisters will compete in the AFLW elimination round.

Georgie Prespakis, a star player for Geelong, will try to ignore her older sister Madison and concentrate on helping the Cats win a historic AFLW finals.

Key midfield players for their respective teams, the Prespakis siblings, will play each other in Sunday’s elimination final when Essendon visits GMHBA Stadium.

Madison confirmed the AFLW’s finals match on social media by tagging her sister in a post. Madison won best-and-fairest four times with Carlton and the Bombers.Prespakis sisters to face off in AFLW elimination final | The West Australian

Georgie didn’t retaliate, though.

The Cats star, 20, stated, “Last night, I sent (Madison) a message.”

“I just want her to have fun during the week leading up to the grand final, but as for myself, I’m focused entirely on Geelong and doing everything in our power to win.

“We have a good sense of confidence in everyone we face.

“It will be a really good game, we’re just really stoked we’ve got a home ground advantage.”

After losing to North Melbourne in the AFLW finals the previous year, Geelong is aiming for their first post-season triumph.

Earlier in the season, Essendon defeated the Cats, and in only their second season as an expansion club, the Bombers stormed into the finals.

Georgie Prespakis rested in the last quarter of Geelong’s comfortable victory against Hawthorn on Saturday, capping off their home-and-away series. Georgie had already amassed 35 disposals.

“We’re not ready to be done yet – hopefully it will be next week and the week after that we’re continuing to be coming back to train and be around our teammates and coaches,” she stated.

We’ve been struggling greatly these past few weeks.

“We want to play freely, and we’ve been able to play eight quarters straight in the last two games.

“To be able to win games you have to be strong across the entire match.”

The Bombers women are striving to become the club’s first team to win a final in more than 7000 days, with Essendon’s AFL side not having tasted post-season success since September 2004.
