Nepal’s initial practice match in Sri Lanka was unfortunately cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. The Nepalese cricket team is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka to participate in a three-match One Day series against the Sri Lanka Development Squad. This tour is intended to prepare them for the upcoming CWC League 2 series.

The scheduled match, which was set to commence at 10:15 AM NST, could not proceed as planned. Persistent rain led to the cancellation, leaving the team unable to get their first taste of competitive action in Sri Lanka.

Looking ahead, the second game of the series is scheduled to take place tomorrow, September 4th. After a brief rest, the final match will be held on September 6th. The team is eager to use these games as a warm-up before their next big challenge.

Following their Sri Lankan tour, Nepal is set to travel to Canada for the second CWC League 2 Tri-series. In this series, they will face off against Oman and Canada. During their first series, held on home soil in February, Nepal struggled, ending with three losses and a single victory over Netherlands and Namibia.

As Nepal continues its international journey, fans and players alike are hopeful that the team will gain valuable experience and improve their performance in the upcoming series.
