Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck is looking to keep his squad in contention for the SEC title and ultimately another College Football Playoff appearance. Beck is also among the top quarterback prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL draft. The Georgia quarterback has not had the cleanest start to the season, but Beck is still in contention to be selected in the first round. Beck has thrown for 1,993 yards, 15 touchdowns and 8 interceptions while completing 66% of his passes through the first seven outings. Heading into the team’s Nov. 2 rivalry matchup against the Florida Gators, Beck had thrown five interceptions in his previous two games. Not a stat that NFL scouts are likely thrilled to see. CBS Sports’ Ryan Wilson floated an interesting scenario in a 2025 NFL mock draft that has the New York Jets moving back into the end of the first round to select Beck. Wilson has the Jets moving up from No. 41 to No. 32 by striking a trade with the Minnesota Vikings. “The Jets get Tetairoa McMillan at No. 9 and trade back into Round 1 (they currently have pick No. 41) to get Carson Beck here,” Wilson wrote on Oct. 7.
