The Fremantle Dockers have secured a major coup, appointing Australian basketball legend Damian Martin as their AFL Leadership Advisor. Martin’s exceptional leadership skills, forged during his illustrious 13-season NBL career, will now benefit the Dockers.
As captain of the Perth Wildcats, Martin led the team to five NBL championships, earning six Best Defensive Player awards and representing Australia at the 2016 Rio Olympics. His retirement in 2020 was marked by the NBL naming the Best Defensive Player trophy in his honor.
