“Arsenal working on midfielder before January window” Mikel Arteta confirms

Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, wants to bolster his team with a midfielder before the January transfer window ends the next week.

Midfielder Mohamed Elneny, who has been sidelined with a knee ailment since the middle of this month, has “concerns” about his health.

Elneny will miss Friday’s FA Cup fourth round match at Manchester City, although Arteta has not said when he might be able to play again since he is still being evaluated.

And Arteta has said that he would prefer to bring in another midfielder before Tuesday night’s deadline.

Well, if we can, we need to add some more midfield cover, he stated. It’s difficult to achieve that in current market.

“The most crucial thing is that we use the guys we have available right now, who are already very talented, to deliver the performances and playing time we require.

“If anything more becomes available that can help us, we’ll look at it.

Elneny won’t likely be [available for Friday], in my opinion. He had some knee problems that we are currently evaluating, and we will need to watch how he changes over the next few days.

There are worries, particularly since Mo is a player who never voiced complaints. However, let’s see.
