Steve Bull, a former player for Wolves, predicts that Arsenal will be the only team to pursue a young Premier League star in the summer market.
Steve Bull, a former player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, thinks that only Arsenal will be interested in signing one of his old team’s top players this winter.
The Gunners and manager Mikel Arteta had a great summer transfer season as he was able to sign several of his top targets, including midfielder Declan Rice from West Ham for a reported £100 million. Rice will boost the midfield for the Gunners. Their early success has been greatly aided by the England international, who has already assisted them in defeating Manchester City twice this year and taking home the Community Shield.
Another talent they were able to sign for £34 million ($41 million) was Jurrien Timber, albeit his season only lasted 47 minutes due to a knee injury he sustained in the first half of their league opener against Nottingham Forest. To round out a productive summer, Brentford goalkeeper David Raya was also acquired on loan from London rivals Chelsea. Kai Havertz was another acquisition, having joined for £64 million ($78 million) from London rivals Chelsea.
Although questions about how the top six teams will boost their squads for the inescapable title race that will occur at the end of the season are being asked, rumors around the January transfer window are already circulating around them. Pedro Neto, a star for Wolves, is one name that has been connected to Arsenal.
Given Wolves’ present position of 14th in the standings, the midfielder, who has already scored one goal and provided five assists this season, has been called the star player who will be moved in the offseason. Bull, though, asserts that there won’t be many teams vying for the star and that Arteta might rush in unopposed for him in an effort to relieve Bukayo Saka of some of the strain.
But to be honest, Pedro Neto’s future worries me, Bull exclusively admitted to Ladbrokes Fanzone. He is currently absolutely flying, and if it were up to me, I would sign him to another five-year contract and pay him anything he wants because I genuinely believe he is that amazing.
“The talent and skill he possesses are astounding. It’s incredibly encouraging to see how well he now gets along with his teammates. It was all Neto, really, as he set up the goal against Villa, which was essentially a perfect duplicate of the one against Luton from a couple of weeks ago. He reacts fast to the ball, takes his man on, and scores against Luton, but against Villa, Hwang scores with a bang. He is a really cunning player.
Bull’s remarks come while the Gunners are dealing with a significant injury crisis. Star players Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard are both out, and Gabriel Martinelli has only recently made a full recovery from a previous injury. He thinks if their problems were
“Will Wolves be able to keep him?” Bull included. “I truly have no idea. I believe that Arsenal would be his only choice of team. Although Liverpool and Manchester United have several possibilities in that region, Arsenal probably only needs to bolster that position because, without Bukayo Saka, they are completely lost on that right side of the field. On that side against Man City, they appeared adrift without him.
“Well, here’s hoping Wolves can keep him and, beginning in January, assemble the team around him. But if I’m being honest, I’m concerned that he might leave. But I’m not sure how much he would ask. I’ve seen Raul Jimenez and Ruben Neves leave, and you can see some of the payments. The skill and speed he possesses allow him to score and create opportunities for both himself and his teammates. I believe he would easily fit into that Arsenal team.
