James Harrison, a forward for Warrington Wolves, will miss the team’s next two games.

After Monday’s disciplinary hearing, the Rugby Football League’s Match Review Panel decided to impose a two-match ban on Harrison, who was sent out during last Friday’s victory over St Helens.

Harrison will automatically miss the Wire’s next two games due to a Grade D Head Contact charge, unless they decide to file an appeal against the suspension. Harrison is the sole Super League player suspended this week; three other players are accused of offenses.

After an altercation during the win over the London Broncos, Leigh Leopards center Ricky Leutele was charged with Grade B Dangerous Contact and fined £250.

For an incident during the same game, London forward Sadiq Adebiyi was also charged with the same offense and fined.

In addition, Salford forward Shane Wright was fined £250 for making a Grade B Dangerous Contact during Friday night’s Red Devils loss to the Huddersfield Giants.

Warrington has till Tuesday at noon to make up their minds about filing an appeal. Harrison will miss their next games against Hull KR and Wigan Warriors if they don’t. Under Sam Burgess, Harrison has been a standout performer for the Wire in 2024 and a consistent member of their squad.

The loss of the England international, who has become as one of the top forwards in Super League, will be devastating for the Wire in two games that could have a significant impact on their Super League finish.
