Tyler Baron Finds Commits To Ole Miss, Officially Leaves Tennessee Football - Sports Illustrated Tennessee Volunteers News, Analysis and More

Tyler Baron was initially expected to test the NFL Draft waters, but after receiving feedback decided to stay in school and enter the transfer portal. The former Vol had a productive career on Rocky Top and was one of their most consistent defenders this season. Baron will stay in the SEC, as he announced on Friday that he will play his final year of eligibility with the Ole Miss Rebels. He visited them over the past week, and Lane Kiffin’s program built a lot of momentum with the talented defensive lineman.

The offseason is almost underway for Tennessee football. The Vols have concluded the regular season and are now focusing on roster construction for the 2023 season. Volunteer Country has fans covered with all the latest portal entries and NFL Draft declarations. The portal window is from December 4 until January 2. If players don’t transfer within that window, they must wait until May following spring practice to enter the transfer portal.
