Colts Offense:

In Week 10, the Colts’ run of being the only NFL club to score at least 20 points in each of their season’s games came to an end. With quarterback Gardner Minshew in command today, the offense had trouble. Minshew had a difficult day; he was unable to hit open receivers and was constantly agitated in the pocket. Although Minshew was well-protected by the Colts offensive line, too many times he would leave a clear pocket, which led to pressure and halt drives.

In the run game, the Colts ended their recent 50/50 split between RBs Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss, as Taylor had 23 carries, with Moss only having one. The Colts now enter their bye week at 5-5 with plenty of things to fix on the offensive side of the ball.

Colts Defense:

It’s hard to keep an NFL team out of the endzone, but the Colts did just that in Week 10. They only allowed six points to the struggling Patriots defense. It makes for back-to-back weeks of the Colts defense handling a bad offense like they should. They added another two interceptions on the year today and combined for five sacks. Getting healthy on the defensive side of the ball will be the main priority during the bye. They will hope to get rookie CB JuJu Brents back and start preparing for Grover Stewart to return from his suspension.
