Ravens Injury Update: One returned to practice on Wednesday, two still absent
The Baltimore Ravens had their first practice of the week on Wednesday, listing two players as “DNP” for the day in anticipation of their divisional matchup against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Michael Pierce, the nose tackle, missed practice because of sickness, while star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. appeared to have the day off.
On the positive side, right tackle Morgan Moses returned to full practice participation after being sidelined last week due to a shoulder injury, missing the second game this season after breaking his seemingly unbeatable 130+ games-played streak from the earlier days of his career.
Despite appearing somewhat limited during practice according to those watching live at The Castle, the Ravens officially listed Moses as a full participant so there’s that for our happiness.
Beckham, who is coming off his best performance of the season in last weekend’s game against Seattle (on the day of his 31st birthday of all days!) with five catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, didn’t seem to be nursing any new injuries after the victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
Although the injury report listed a knee issue, the absence was labeled as “non-injury related,” with OBJ simply getting a veteran’s day off so he remains as healthy and ready to go as possible during the second half of the season.
In another positive development, safety Marcus Williams (who missed the past three games with a hamstring injury even though he’s felt close to making a comeback for days on end) was not listed on the injury report.
It looks like, once and for all, Williams will return this weekend in a pivotal divisional game against Baltimore’s foes from Cleveland.
