Tottenham news as Johan Lange appointed new technical director with potential Aston Villa transfers possible after his arrival

Tottenham have a new technical director as former Aston Villa and Copenhagen chief Johan Lange joins the new evolution in north London. Lange, a relatively unknown figure in a world dominated by big name transfer gurus and out of depth executives sanctioning deals, comes in with a mixed history.

He will now be tasked with filling the void left by Fabio Paratici after the former Juventus sporting director left the club earlier this year following a lengthy ban imposed by FIFA. Since the Italian left change has ensued on great levels at Spurs with Antonio Conte also departing.

As well as the two Italian characters there is a new chief executive acting under chairman Daniel Levy. Scott Munn, a fellow Australian for Ange Postecoglou to work with, started his role last month having been at the City Football Group previously.

It has been a step ahead of schedule in reality, with the new head coach able to quickly foster an atmosphere change and get across his on-field principles. The job is far from done, however, and Lange will be tasked with ensuring that Tottenham advance from this point and consistently compete with the top sides in the league.
