Former Brighton and Chelsea head coaches are preferred above former Southampton, Aston Villa, and Luton managers to become the next manager of the Rangers.
After a disastrous start to the season and a struggle to stay up with Celtic, Rangers fired manager Michael Beale and are now looking for a new leader.
Former Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea manager Graham Potter has emerged as an early favorite, according to online bookmakers BetVictor, with odds of 3/1 to take over. Since being let go by the Blues during the previous season, Potter has been without a team.
Kevin Muscat, a former defender for Rangers, is listed close behind Potter with odds of 4/1. Muscat now oversees Yokohama F. Marinos in the J1 League. He formerly managed Sint-Truidense in the Belgian Pro League.
Kjetil Knutsen, a Norwegian football coach and the present manager of Bod/Glimt, is another candidate and is available at 5/1.
Derek McInnes, the manager of Kilmarnock currently, and Nathan Jones, the former manager of Luton Town Southampton, both have odds of 6/1 to fill the open position.
Dean Smith, a former manager of Aston Villa and Leicester City, is listed at 10/1, while Ralph Hasenhüttl, a former manager of Southampton, is listed at 14/1.
