5 headers won, 7 clearances: Nottingham Forest 32-year-old slipped under the radar against Chelsea
Nottingham Forest defeated Chelsea 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday and Willy Boly staked his claim for a continued role in the team.
Forest won the clash thanks to a goal that came three minutes into the second half from Anthony Elanga.
However, it was perhaps the first sheet of the season that proved the most pleasing aspect of the win over Chelsea.
Boly was handed another chance to start; with Moussa Niakhate and Felipe left on the bench for the contest.
The 32-year-old is in the final year of his contract at the City Ground and he brings a wealth of experience to the table.
Boly was a big miss last season when he picked up a hamstring injury in February. His absence sparked a run of winless games that almost cost Forest their Premier League status.
On Saturday, his performance slipped under the radar. In truth that was largely due to the brilliance of Joe Worrall but Boly should be lauded.
Who Scored highlighted his brilliant against a Chelsea outfit that cost an absolute fortune to assemble.
The experienced performer won five aerial challenges and that proved the most of any Forest player during the win.
He was also sound with his feet. He made seven clearances, blocked four shots and won three tackles.

This was a tremendous performance by the Ivorian and he showcased why he deserves to play a part this season.
Furthermore, he showed his commitment to the cause. He seemed to pick up a knock towards the end and could barely walk afterwards.
Hopefully, that’s nothing too serious and Boly can be available to play in the next game against Burnley in a fortnight.
The experienced player still has a part to play at Forest and long may this form continue for Boly.
