The All India Pickleball Association (AIPA) has expressed immense pride in the performance of Indian athletes at the 2024 Asia Pickleball Games. The event, which took place under the auspices of the Asia Federation of Pickleball and the Chinese Taipei Pickleball Association, brought together top players from across the region, including countries like India, Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, China, Indonesia, South Korea, and Malaysia. The competition was a remarkable showcase of talent, with India’s athletes securing an impressive haul of gold and silver medals, reaffirming the nation’s rising prominence in the global pickleball scene.
Notable performances from Indian athletes included Nitten Kirttane, who clinched the gold medal in the 50 Open Men’s Singles, a remarkable achievement that added to his already growing reputation. Vishal Jadhav also made his mark, securing a silver medal in the 35 Open Men’s Singles. In the women’s categories, Khushi Sachdeva and Shraddha Damani brought home silver medals in the 19 and 35 Women’s Singles events, respectively, in the 4.0 category. Meanwhile, Sandeep Tawde also earned a silver medal in the 50 Men’s Singles 4.0 category, adding to India’s medal tally.
The doubles events were equally successful for India, with Nitten Kirttane and Sandeep Tawde claiming gold in the 50 Open Men’s Doubles.
