Red Bull Racing, which last celebrated a Grand Prix victory in June at the Spanish Grand Prix, has faced a significant dry spell. Since Max Verstappen’s win, the team has been unable to climb back to the top of the podium. Former F1 driver Rene Arnoux anticipated this decline and shared his insights with La Gazzetta dello Sport, explaining the underlying causes of Red Bull’s dip in performance.

Arnoux remarked that the signs were visible early on. “From the initial reports and the early excitement, I kept saying it: ‘This situation would destabilize everyone and impact the team’s performance.’ And that’s exactly what happened,” Arnoux stated. The team, which had a commanding presence in the previous season and showed strong potential at the start of this year, suddenly lost the edge that once made them dominant.

As the Formula 1 season moves into its final stages, with the US Grand Prix approaching at the Circuit of the Americas, Arnoux remains skeptical. While Red Bull plans to introduce updates to their RB20 for the upcoming race, the former F1 driver believes the team has hit a plateau in recent months. This stagnation, according to Arnoux, raises questions about whether Red Bull can regain the momentum they once had.

Red Bull’s struggle to maintain their dominance has left many wondering if the team can bounce back. Arnoux remains curious but cautious, watching closely to see if these new updates will be enough to push the team in the right direction. With the competition heating up, Red Bull faces a critical moment in determining their standing in the championship.
