The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2027 are officially set to take place in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, from February 1 to February 14. This decision reaffirms the FIS Council’s earlier choice made in May 2022. After thorough preparation, the Local Organizing Committee, local municipalities, and Swiss-Ski have successfully met all the necessary requirements for the event.

FIS President Johan Eliasch expressed his enthusiasm, stating that with all bid requirements now fulfilled, the focus can shift to organizing a spectacular championship. Despite a delay in finalizing the decision, Eliasch is confident that the event will be a standout celebration of Alpine skiing.

FIS Secretary General Michel Vion acknowledged the prolonged process but is excited about the upcoming event. Vion emphasized that the time is now right to prepare for what promises to be a memorable Alpine ski championship in 2027.

Crans-Montana, a premier Swiss ski resort, will host the championship for the second time, marking exactly 40 years since it first held the event in 1987. The resort’s return as a host underscores its significance in the world of Alpine skiing.
