Bailey Cadamarteri, a young forward for Sheffield Wednesday, appears to be considering a brief loan to another club, possibly Huddersfield Town, a rival team in Yorkshire.

The Star said that several League One teams were interested in signing 19-year-old Cadamarteri, and that his chances of being loaned out were growing.

According to The Sheffield Star, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Stockport County, and Wrexham are believed to be interested in taking the forward for the upcoming campaign. Dundee United and Motherwell, two Scottish teams, have also been connected to the teenager.

Darren Witcoop, however, has stated that despite having a ton of striker alternatives on their books, Wrexham is presently leading the chase for him.

Following speculations that certain top division teams were maybe interested to buy Cadamarteri, Wednesday is thought to prefer a loan move rather than a sale of the precocious star, who scored four goals in 23 games in the Championship last time around as an 18-year-old.

The player and the potential temporary club may not have sole control over a transaction coming to fruition. Even if Wednesday has added a good number of forwards this summer, more might still be needed before the Steel City team feels comfortable with Cadamarteri’s departure.

Huddersfield Town: Bailey Cadamarteri deal makes sense on one condition

A move for the 19-year-old Wednesday forward makes sense, according to Terriers fan commentator Graeme Rayner, as long as they don’t pin all of their offensive hopes on him and instead bring in another, more experienced option to compete with players like Danny Ward and Rhys Healey.

“I haven’t seen us associated with Candamateri before. Given that his father was a standout player for the team and has ties to the organization, I assume he has a thorough understanding of Huddersfield.

“I hope someone else with a stronger background steps in as well. It’s wonderful if he is one of the two. But that’s probably not good enough if he is the only one, a one-of-a-kind.
