Nottingham Forest’s preseason performance has given fans hope for what the team can achieve in the forthcoming Premier League season.

The players exhibit a great sense of camaraderie and teamwork, as head coach Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have made good use of their time on the training field. The summer additions made by the Reds seem to be settling in fast as well.

The business Forest have done in the transfer window so far has been good. New additions Carlos Miguel, Elliot Anderson, Eric da Silva Moreira and Nikola Milenkovic all bring something to the table.

Still needs to be done, though, to give Nuno’s team the final touches. We examine some of the most recent transfer rumors that are circulating below.

This summer, there has been a lot of discussion around the futures of Anthony Elanga, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Morgan Gibbs-White, and Murillo. However, it appears that another Reds player is also wanted.

Earlier this summer, West Ham United reportedly had a bid for defender Neco Williams rejected. Forest turned down the Hammers’ bid because they have “no intention” of selling the right-back, according to HITC.

It’s possible, though, that the club’s resolve is put to the test once more prior to the deadline next month. Williams is reportedly being watched by AC Milan, Bayer Leverkusen, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur.

With Nuno Espirito Santo leading the team, Nottingham Forest could have an exciting season ahead of them.

The Reds are optimistic that since their return to the top flight, there won’t be another relegation battle this time around. The goal for 2024–2025 is to advance in the Premier League and move up the standings.

The Reds are now fully aware of the task before of them and the hurdles they confront, having spent two years back among the best. It’s undeniable that this specific division doesn’t spare any details, but it seems that Forest is now primed to take on the challenge.

Yes, Reds supporters have a lot to be happy about. At the City Ground right now, progress is the buzzword, and by May, perhaps, fans won’t be counting down the days till they can survive or chewing their fingernails.

Last term, Forest gave hints as to what they could become under Nuno. It was also evident that the Portuguese had already assembled a very strong team.

However, the preseason has truly demonstrated what the 50-year-old might accomplish in his leadership role. His squad has produced some beautiful play segments, looked sharp, and has been eager to get ahead.

It’s true that it’s foolish to place too much stock in summer friendly games. Even in the best of circumstances, predicting the course of an unpredictable Premier League is difficult.

Don’t underestimate, though, how important it might be for Nuno to spend time alone with his players. He felt he was let down by being appointed Trentside in the middle of the previous season and has called the preseason the “most important” time of the year.
