Barbora already owns seven Grand Slam doubles titles, including wins at Wimbledon in 2018 and 2022, as well as the 2021 French Open singles title.

During a mysterious Q&A on Friday night, the tennis player fueled rumors that she is dating her coach Pavel Motl. Everything you need to know is right here.

Outside of the court, the tennis player enjoys making fun of her followers by spreading rumors about sports, and her social media activity is just as exciting and unpredictable as her matches. The Czech tennis player enjoys keeping her social media accounts active when she’s not playing.

After Barbora’s most recent Q&A on X, the former name of Twitter, on Friday night, rumors circulated regarding her instructor Pavel Motl and their relationship.

While waiting out a weather delay that impacted her doubles match with Laura Siegemund, the 28-year-old engaged in a Q&A session. She responded to a few inquiries and even stoked speculations that she is “dating her coach” when she seemed “excited” in response to a fan’s query regarding a marriage proposal.

“Will Pavel propose to you if you win Wimbledon?” enquired one intrigued admirer. Known for her sly personality, Barbora responded with a quick wit that kept the rumor mill rolling.

She continued: “Pavel says he hasn’t thought about it yet but he thanks for the idea!” Barbora has a history of coming across as enigmatic when discussing her connection with her coach in her responses.

“Are you and Pavel a couple?” a fan inquired in a prior social media Q&A. The tennis player, however, only answered, “What do you think?” The sports star was asked, and the fan, eager to ask a question, answered, “Yes, because love always wins.”

However, Barbora left much to speculation when she responded with a very mysterious GIF that said, “I guess we’ll never know now…will we?”

Despite suffering from illness and injuries over the past 12 months, world number 32 Barbora managed to defeat Elena Rybakina on Thursday, winning 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 to make her first-ever Wimbledon singles final.
