Mickel Miller, a new signing for Huddersfield Town, says he’s “excited for the future” following his move.

The wing-back, 28, signed a two-year contract with Town last week after declining Plymouth Argyle’s offer of a new contract. This sealed his move to the Terriers.

Miller joins the Terriers, who will be playing in League One for the first time since 2012, and are hoping to return to

the Championship after being relegated last season.

The new player is excited to get started with his new team after being pleased by the club’s ambition to advance.

“Michael Duff told me his ambition of where the club are, where they want to be, and how he wants to play, and it’s

all exciting when I first sat down with him,” Miller said to HTTV.

“Everyone who is seated in front of him will say, ‘Now, let’s move on, where’s the paper? I’m prepared.'”

I can’t wait to see where the team goes after this season and for justice to prevail in the future.

“I’m from outside the league, and I don’t have boundaries on where I may go.

That’s what I want to hear when I sit down with Mark Cartwright and the gaffer and they tell me,

“Listen, we’re going to bounce back and we’re looking to go again.”

“I’m not the type to just sit here and predict that we’ll get promoted,”

No, we want to carry on, carry on. It’s thrilling because I think everyone here will desire the same thing.

Miller, who previously made it to League One with the Pilgrims and Rotherham United, is hoping to make it three times in four seasons when he joins the Terriers.

The wing-back began his career in the Isthmian League with Carshalton Athletic before earning a promotion to Hamilton Academical from Step Four of the non-league pyramid to the Scottish Premiership.

Miller has pledged to instill a diligent work ethic within the team and acknowledges that his non-league experience keeps him motivated.

“It all comes down to hard work,” he remarked. I’m the type of person who believes that hard work pays off. I just encourage you to work hard and trust God to take care of the rest.

Why would I go back and unwind or become complacent now that I’m here? It’s not a part of me. I have that in mind all the time.

Miller was declared to be Town’s second window signer.
