Ohio State football safety Lathan Ransom out for at least couple weeks with injury

Head coach Ryan Day said that safety Lathan Ransom would miss the rest of the regular season due to a lower-body injury, which is a huge blow for the Ohio State Buckeyes defense.

Ransom seemed to have suffered a lower-body injury when he was taken out of the game early in the fourth quarter of their victory over Wisconsin earlier this month.

Ransom appeared to get the injury after a non-contact play, and he went straight to the medical tent for more assessment. The Ohio State medical crew then wheeled Ransom to the locker room.

During the team’s Saturday game against Michigan State, Ransom was observed riding a scooter while wearing a walking boot.

Day characterized Ransom’s injury as “long term” when questioned about it following the Michigan State game.

Day stated, “Lathan’s injury is more long-term.” “However, I believe we’ll have Josh Proctor back here very soon.”
