Simon Jordan has slammed Everton defender Michael Keane live on talk sport following the club’s

4-0 loss to Aston Villa.

Jordan believes the player “can’t defend” after the Toffees suffered the heavy defeat at Villa Park on Sunday (20

August).

 

 

The loss marked two defeats from two so far this season for Everton, who lost 1-0 to Fulham on the opening day of

the Premier League campaign.

 

 

“The second one, he’s not awake. If you’re going to go for that you’ve got to clear out the Centre forward.”

Brutal verdict

It really is a brutal verdict from Jordan, who has pulled no punches in his analysis of Everton’s heavy defeat to Villa.

Of course, Keane will be disappointed with some of his decisions throughout the match, but it wasn’t just the Centre-

back who was at fault on the day.

 

 

The Toffees were disjointed all over the pitch, losing their focal point Dominic Calvert-Lewin early through a nasty

facial injury. That was a massive blow for Everton manager Sean Dyche, who was forced into a rethink from the

dugout.

The visitors had their struggles in the final third, but those struggles were nothing compared to their issues at the

back.

 

 

Those troubles, combined with a ruthlessness from the Aston Villa attackers, meant Everton suffered a very difficult

90 minutes.

The likes of Keane and his central defensive partner James Tarkowski were largely helpless as Unai Emery’s men

ripped through them time and again.
